Who We Are
The Davis Lake Landholders Association (DLLA) is a voluntary association of landholders, residents working together to protect this lake and the environment around it for all to enjoy.
What We Do
DLLA works with local and state agencies to ensure the water quality remains high so all residents and visitors can enjoy their time at the lake. We also work to ensure health and safety issues are addressed by the appropriate authority.
What Projects Does the Association Do?
Our major focus is control of milfoil and other weeds that are not native and destructive. We arrange weed control programs and treat the lake as needed. DLLA also works with the county and state to regarding roads, parking, lake access another health and safety issues. We also publicize activities such as the 4th of July boat parade.
What We Don't Do
DLLA is not a homeowners association. We do not set rules or enforce regarding property use or activity on the water. The association asks all people at the lake be polite and respect each other.
How Do I Get Involved?
It easy to join. Our dues are low ($20) a year. Once you have joined we ask that you bring you thoughts about what is happening at the lake to association officers during the year and attend the annual meeting. We may ask you to assist in a project such as driving a boat for a weed survey.
When is the Annual Meeting?
We hold a meeting in the summer. The location and time shifts each year. The meeting lasts about an hour. We review what was done since the last meeting, have presentations by experts or government officials, bring each other up to date on topics that may impact us at the lake. We also elect association trustees.
How Else Can I Assist?
Be a good neighbor. Treat your fellow humans and Mother Nature with respect. Obey the local government laws and regulations on land and on the lake. When you have friends and family up for the day or weekend, inform them of the rules and remind them you live here.
Please join the association and make a donation. The cost to do weed control runs between $5,000 -$8,000 annually depending on the scope of the work. On occasion we get a government grant but they are rare. Please donate on online or by check. Make checks payable to DLLA, 3324 W Providence, Spokane, WA 99205 attn. Gene
